The New Moon in Aries @ 24°27′ occurs on April 14th, 2010 at 8:29 am EST.

We have had over 3 weeks pass since the Vernal Equinox delivered some phenomenal energies thanks to the jump start assistance of Mars. Now we find that which began during the Equinox and then was brought to light for adjustment after the last Full Moon in Libra/Aries is now being focused through a yod formation to Saturn in Virgo for further expansion and grounding.

Since the Equinox, there has been a heightened sense of the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ overlapping. Many forms have gotten off to a rapid start while others forms that have outlived their usefulness continue to come to completion. This has been quite an intense time for many and there has been some confusion as to what is really leaving completely and what is being transformed into a new expression and shall continue forward with us albeit in a renewed form.

Due to the presence of Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces we shall continue to experience larger ‘endings’ for a while longer, and with both of these planets now quickly approaching their ingress of Aries and subsequent conjunction, there is definitely a tangible draw to bring to completion many different aspect in our lives even as we continue to step even more assuredly into our new beginnings.

This Aries New Moon shall set off some incredible energies in many of our life areas and help us to ground and make productive that which was jump started a few weeks past while lending an even deeper need to address that which is due for completion or transformational renewal.

So take a deep breath and remember that what is now coming forth is what we have been working towards for some time and take the time to marvel upon the awesome dynamics being set into motion!

The specifics of this Moon Event are:

The Sun-Moon in Aries sextile Neptune-Chiron in Aquarius forms a yod with Saturn, once again within Virgo, and in retrograde motion. Yods function by forcing the the energies of the harmonious sextile participants(sun/moon/neptune/chiron) through the frictional nozzle planet which is Saturn.

Since the Sun-Moon make no other significant aspects we look towards Saturn as to how this yod formation will play out.

Saturn is now in a tight orb opposition for the 4th time to Uranus and Uranus is positioned quite close to the mid-point of the Sun-Moon and Neptune-Chiron sextile portion of the yod.

Saturn is also loosely conjunct Jupiter and it is notable that what is being put into motion now will be expanded significantly when Jupiter transits the mid-point degree of the yod sextile and then opposes Saturn from approximately the 2nd week of May and into the beginning of June.

Not to be underestimated is the continuing square of Saturn to Pluto, also now retrograde, within Capricorn. Though these two are now in a wider orb they continue to be of influence due to the longer term duration of their meet and the sheer power of these two heavyweights together in major aspect.

Considering the whole of this New Moon chart, and taking into consideration the focus placed upon Saturn via the yod, it appears that we now are entering a period where new initiatives are now firmly taking root and being nurtured/groomed for practical fruition yet this period may usher in further adjustments and sacrifices required to reach our objectives.

These necessary adjustment/sacrifice situations may be difficult to clearly equate as to their necessity in reaching our chosen objectives/outcomes.

With energies such as these within this New Moon diffusing into so many areas, and possibly bringing forth situations that are difficult to understand within the scope of being for your benefit, this is a time to hold to the trust and faith in yourself and that your previous devotion and efforts upon your path continue to carry you forth to where you need to be.

Maintain your course steadfastly, even if situations arise that appear contradictory to your outcome desired, and recalibrate wherever and whenever the need arises while keeping your focus upon your goals.

Be resolute even while being flexible and trust, that with a little patience and your willingness to embrace the larger picture in play, that this next phase is indeed taking you into your new expression and form of Being!
