Our next New Moon occurs on June 12th, 2010 @ 21°24′ Gemini at 7:15 am EST.

Gemini, the Sign of the Twins, is the representation of Duality. Duality serves the purpose of offering contrast to allow for the “seeing of that which cannot be seen” and the “knowing of that which has been unknowable”.

While the goal of our journey through all space/time is to eventually return to Source; to do so we must first understand the true nature of ourselves and in doing so come to a comprehension of the true nature of the Source from which we have come forth from.

As we rest within the Whole of God so does the whole of God rest within us. Through Duality we find the avenue for God to be experiencing of God in all manners and forms.

Light and Dark, Mother and Father, Spirit and Matter, Left-Brain and Right Brain, Anima and Unanimity; all dualistic representations and often symbolized in experience or thought as a paradox. While Gemini is not the space where we come to transcend these dualities or solve the paradox, Gemini as the 3rd sign of the Zodiac is the early developmental space where we are confronted with these dualities. Within these contrasting forms we have the formula from which to begin to bring a definition of some form to whom and what we are.

Gemini is the place where we gather conflicting information and experiences that we later carry to the realms of Uranus (the Higher Mind) and begin our quest to solve the paradox by the marriage and eventual dissolution of the seeming opposites.

While a lesser evolved function of  Gemini is the experiencing of human existence in terms of “either-or” a more evolved function of Gemini is the experiencing of human existence as “both-all”. Look to where Gemini presents in your natal chart as well as your natal third house and the location of your natal Mercury to evaluate where you experience dualistic thoughts and situations to get a better assessment of how your Gemini function is operating.

Via the Gemini New Moon we are afforded an opportunity by the union of the Sun and Moon to become aware of where we are still experiencing dualism in our thought processes. It is from our thoughts that we bring forth our experiences into manifestation therefore we will continue to have experiences of a dualistic nature manifest in our external until we come to the space of transcending dualistic thinking.

While duality is not a bad thing and quite necessary for our early development there does come a time that it has served it’s purpose on the individual and collective level. Is the whole of humanity ready to transcend duality as is a popular ideology at this time? I really don’t know. My definition of Oneness is not exactly in sync with the definitions of others that I have come across through these modern ideologies. It is not really even a matter of wrong or right is it? It is just a matter of current perception and my current perception just isn’t jiving with some Oneness perceptions. (Ha! How’s that for Gemini in action?)

I do believe there are quite possibly individuals at the door of achieving either a full transcendence of duality; or very close to. Maybe we overlook the possibility that this is the natural order and cycle of how it always has BEEN and shall BE? A constant ebb and flow process consisting of individuals on each rung of the ladder bringing order from chaos by holding a balance finer than is of comprehension to most. No greater nor lesser, just the space you are standing in at any given time throughout the cycle of infinity. We all move through the rotation and everyone gets a chance to do and be it all and the cycle merely continues on and on though in new octaves as each level is mastered.

Ok, maybe that is my Gemini-ness that abhors boredom and static doing the speaking;  but it is my personal viewpoint as I stand in observation from my current rung on how this ALL works. I readily admit that some viewpoints pitched on Oneness, and how that would function, do give me the heebie-jeebie’s for I get images of clones and I still have a liking of diversity and flavor. Now that I have digressed; on to the specifics of this New Moon:

The Sun and Moon in conjunction are forming a quintile with Mars in early Virgo and a trine with Neptune in late Aquarius. A wide orb trine is also present with Chiron in very early Pisces. It is notable that both Neptune and Chiron are newly retrograde and therefore still on their respective degree’s of retrograde station.

The Sun/Moon also form frictional aspects by squares to Saturn in Virgo (still on the degree of direct station) and to the tight conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus at Aries Point.

While the ruler of this lunation, Mercury, is not forming any major aspects to the Sun/Moon it is significant that Mercury is indeed in residence in Gemini for this lunation. A quick look at the aspects of Mercury finds squares with Mars, Neptune and Chiron. A trine is present to Saturn and a sextile to Uranus/Jupiter. A complete reversal of what we see with the Sun and Moon! Now, how GEMINI is that?? The only body that is not in aspect to Mercury and the Sun/Moon is Pluto whom is apecting only Mercury by quincunx.

Here is how I am interpreting this lunation:

The long term opposition of Uranus and Saturn, now expanded by Jupiter, is forming a t-square with the Sun/Moon. Uranus and Saturn have shown us the extreme components of our natures for quite some time now as this has been a long-term meet of these two giants. We have been rocked and shaken repeatedly by this match and have (hopefully) slowly been coming to a balance somewhere closer to the middle of these opposing factors.

Now with the New Moon stepping in, wherever we are now at in our processes in relation to the Saturn/Uranus-Jupiter opposition is being focused, through the Gemini lunation. This suggests that where the old(saturn) and the new(uranus-jupiter) and the conservative/liberal are still in a stalemate within the individual and collective is now being brought front and center to the Sun/Moon for examination with the need for reconciliation.

The quintile present between the Sun/Moon and Mars shows a form of mastery born of the synchronized  functionality of drive/ambition with the harmonic Solar and Lunar expression assisting in the sowing seeds that shall offer a continuation of healing for both the individual and collective as represented by the trines to Neptune and Chiron.

Mercury, in frictional squares to Mars, Neptune and Chiron urges us to heed the necessity for weeding out unproductive thought processes that are detrimental to our well-being and to relinquish the stories we have concocted out of a need to feel secure that prohibit our growth through holding us in a pattern of illusion and denial. The harmonious aspects to Saturn and Uranus-Jupiter encourage us to apply ourselves to the development of  new processes that allow us the opportunity to move beyond the stalemates that have prevented us from achieving positive results individually and collectively. The quincunx from Pluto to Mercury is an additional irritant stressing the necessity of these processes at this time to afford us the best possibilities of instilling solid, time-enduring transformations within the material plane.

With this lunation inclusive of 5 bodies upon stationary degree’s this should prove to be quite a productive lunation!

It would appear that it is time to work toward the unification of our contradictory self/selves and sow seeds that will provide a festive harvest when they come to full fruition!
