The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs on June 26th, 2010 @ 4°46′ Capricorn/Cancer at 7:30 am EST, 11:30 am UT.
While this is a partial lunar eclipse this will be a significant event due to the powerful formations of the heavens at this time.
Eclipses began their shift to the Cancer-Capricorn axis during July of 2009 and this is our 3rd and last Lunar Eclipse occurring on this axis. The next 3 eclipses that complete the Cancer-Capricorn Eclipse cycle are all Solar Eclipses.
My view of eclipses is that they function as course correctors. Where eclipses occur in our chart is where that which is no longer productive for our growth and viability may come to an abrupt conclusion or be suddenly altered to allow for a new course to occur. Though eclipses often do usher in extremes of experience there is no need to fear them if you embrace that what is leaving your life or being altered in some form was not in your best interest any longer and/or has simply run it’s course.
I share my viewpoint for many seem to fear eclipses and I feel it is due to an underlying fear of separation from those that they love, or forms of being they feel attached to, no matter if those relationships or attachments have become detrimental for the person(s) involved.
In regards to relationships: while they can appear within the experience of physicality to have a “beginning and an end” we are truly never separate from those whom we love, for while our relationships change and take many different forms during our experience upon this plane, “beginnings and endings” do not truly exist in the absolutist manner in which we sometimes tend to perceive them for “Every Thing IS Interrelated, Always, and in All Ways”.
My mentioning of this is not to imply that everyone will have an event occur due to this or any other eclipse that will bring about the “separation” from someone(s) close to them for that is highly dependent upon individual situations. I shared my perspective to encourage those that may fear eclipses to try a new viewpoint that may bring a new understanding of the eclipse dynamics and their nature therefore allowing them more ease with any developments that may occur for them personally. Eclipses are not evil after all, they simply serve the function of bringing about necessary adjustments that we were unable or unwilling to preform for ourselves for any myriad of reasons.

This current Full Moon Lunar eclipse occurs upon the Cancer-Capricorn axis and a review of this axis shows the relation of child and parent as it is associated naturally with the 4th and 10th houses of the Zodiac.
Cancer, ruled by the Moon, is concerned with the receipt of nurturing and protection while Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is concerned with the provision of nurturing and protection. The Moon is representative of the child while Saturn is representative of the parent.
We find this to be a relationship oriented axis and when out-of-balance this axis can easily manifest as co-dependent relationships in one’s external life and/or an internal instability producing shifts between states of excessive vulnerability and extreme authoritative behaviors.
Moon ruled Cancer is concerned with the past, the home, mother/women, nurturing and the emotions while Saturn ruled Capricorn is concerned with structures of business, responsibility, practicality, ambitions and endurance.
Cancer is representative of our childhood life, our traits and our patterns that we inherited due to our early environment. Capricorn is representative of our maturity, our goals, ambitions and our measure of success based solely upon our stepping into the world upon our own merits.
With this Full Moon Eclipse we are being urged to let go of any habitual patterns that are preventing us from achieving our individual goals and ambitions.
***********
In Cancer we find the Sun at 5° in close conjunction to Mercury with both opposing the very tight conjunction of the Moon and Pluto at 5° Capricorn.
Saturn in the late degree’s of Virgo, soon to reenter Libra, squares both the Sun-Mercury and the Moon-Pluto conjunctions.
Uranus-Jupiter in Aries, maintaining a close opposition to Saturn, also squares with the Cancer and Capricorn luminary conjunctions.
This formation is the Grand Cross within this eclipse event and is the area of late mutable/early cardinal residence where we have been experiencing constant pressure to adjust and balance our ways of Being.
The Eclipse axis receives the support of Mars in Virgo, Neptune in Aquarius and Chiron in Pisces. Venus in Leo makes no aspects to the Sun or Moon, nor any major aspects to other bodies, but does share minor frictional aspects with the Saturn-Uranus opposition.
Past conditions that we have been unable or unwilling to break free of will suddenly come to the fore as will any habitual patterns that no longer serve our best interest. We see that the necessity for this ‘break’ is due to our goals, ambitions and need to take on a greater responsibility in some form in our world is being limited in some manner due to these remaining outgrown situations.
The Sun and Mercury bring to clarity past/home/feminine/habitual related issues and the tight conjunction of Moon-Pluto can potentially blast away anything disguising the very core of these issues so that transformation/change in regards to these previous dysfunctional areas can now occur.
Familial and tribal relations will come into focus and there may be abrupt shifts away from past relations and localities that are no longer in alignment for one’s growth dependent on individual conditions.
This break from past conditions is necessitated by our desire to begin expressing ourselves in very new ways, courtesy of Uranus-Jupiter in Aries, and due also to our Virgo area’s and functions being strengthened and updated thanks to Saturn lessons and training these past 2+ years.
Mars in Virgo in support of the Eclipse luminaries implies that actions will need to be taken and the energy is available “to do what one must do”.
Neptune and Chiron offer a base of higher wisdom that will assist during any necessary adjustments allowing for an easier transition.
Venus is just a bit inharmonious in this event and offers a reminder of the need to continue to harmonize our inner and outer world through the balancing of past-future/old-new/responsibility-freedom, for very soon Saturn will reenter Venus ruled Libra, and we will be shifting into a 2 year period of focus on relationships.
The upcoming Saturn in Libra period correlates directly to the importance of this current realignment for this realigning will allow us to be placed with the proper people and within the proper locales for our return to our Saturn/Libra lessons.
Be prepared for a shifting of “foundations”, in every possible meaning that encompasses, and look forward to seemingly unmovable situations and conditions that you have outgrown to be rocked apart to allow for more productive and enjoyable conditions to arrive and develop in the very near future!
Blessings! Kachina Houska

Thank you Kachina,
I set my alarm and rose early to observe and honor as much of the eclipse as possible, before the moon dipped below the horizon of rooftops and trees. As I write there are still 11 minutes to the peak of the eclipse.
Quite lovely to witness the event and say a little goodbye to any old shadows from the past. Sweep, sweep. Out the door. I’m feeling welcoming and open to future changes. Come what may.
This eclipse occurs just after the moon crossed the cusp to my IC, 4th House at 1 deg Capricorn, making the Grand Cross fairly major for me. I do have a sense of peace in shaking off some old demons and crossing over a new threshold. Building a newer, stronger foundation in the coming months is just what is needed.
Peace and hugs to all!

There is a serenity quite apparent in your post today, wonderful!
Those ‘demons’ of the past are crumbling, you know..just ash to be swept away by the prevailing winds..and fresh air continues to arrive renewing and preparing us for the ‘deeper breaths of life’.
Namaste!

Hi Kachina
This eclipse conjuncts my south node at 2deg 1 Cap/Can in my houses 5/11. I do have some changes to make and hope that this is just what i may need to propel me into action and become committed.
The commitment and discipline is what i have been finding difficult.
As always your words are inspiring and always give me that lightbulb moment. Great stuff!!

Welcome aishah. 🙂
Not really certain as to what you are inquiring of. If you wish to fill me in a bit maybe I can give a response. As far as astro events, well..there is nothing I am aware of today that is of unusual significance.
Blessings!

LOL Morvah! I felt the same way, head under the covers Friday night and stayed grounded at home.
Thursday evening, a full 36 hours before the eclipse, I went out and witnessed people who are normally congenial acquaintences SCREAMING at each other over the most trivial of pet peaves. A total stranger approached me to say that he noticed I seemed to be the only one keeping my cool during the noisy yell fest. I’ll second Kachina’s comment about being fine even at ground zero! Still, I decided to stay home Friday night and serenely watch Saturday’s early eclipse.
The Cardinal Cross is shaking all my foundations with Asc @ 1 deg Libra, IC @ 1 deg Cap, Desc @ 1 deg Aries, and MC @ 1 deg Cancer. Fortunately I have lots of Mutable personal planets, so with less fear, I am more looking forward to the roller coaster ride of change we’re about to witness.
