Reclaiming the Sweetness

I remember when I once Loved You, then for a period

I no longer thought of You.

My days stretched on while You slumbered,

Recessed,

Within a forgotten space.

How You came to be standing there with me, I do not know

Delighted I was, to meet You again,

You and I, taking in the Sun together

Natural,

Our space, solely Ours..You and I.

Exchanging no words, simply savoring the feel of the Other

All else ceasing, as I Embrace You

You too, encircled me

Delighted,

You are I, I am You, We.

My daughter is calling for me, my life beckons

I prepare to depart our sun drenched space

To return, to my solitude

Reluctant

No wish to be yet again alone.
