Our nation is in crisis.

At the core of our crisis is an apparent infection stemming from long neglected wounds.

The infection within this nation is now at a critical stage.

Pus is oozing from our many neglected wounds as the greater body of our nation attempts to clear itself of a critical, systemic infection.

Deliberate and immediate action is required if we wish to survive this.

This is a singular healing crisis, no matter the appearance of seemingly unconnected symptoms, and must be acknowledged as such if we wish to successfully embark on a treatment course that will produce a cure.

As an individual that often employs less commonly embraced forms of self-healing I offer the following observations and suggestions that I feel need to be considered to heal ourselves and our nation.

hands-on-world_1In the midst of all the chaos, divisiveness, gas-lighting and subversion currently enveloping the U.S. there is one thing I believe deeply and continually center myself within.

I believe Covid-19 is a call to compassion.

It is a call to release the need to be right.

It is a call to release the need to be the winner.

I feel that this call asks me to suspend all personal leanings and beliefs that would prevent my extending genuine kindness and compassion to any, and all, that are suffering directly and/or indirectly due to Covid 19.

I feel this call to compassion does not require me to surrender my personal freedom; it merely invites me to reevaluate where I believe my personal well-being does or does not foster the well-being of my neighbor/nation/humanity.

Covid 19 has proven to me that we do not always need to “be in the know” to do the right thing.

I accept that I may never be able to make any sense out of the numbers or the multitude of opinions.

I release the need to know in favor of embracing and extending compassion.

I am truly sorry for the many that are in pain.

I am truly sorry that those that are suffering must experience their challenges and grief with so much adversity.

You deserve better.

I wish all of you a gentler, kinder and more peaceful recovery in the days ahead.

I wish this for myself as well; and also for those that don’t seem to hear the same call that I do.

This is Part 1 of a multiple part delineation of the Cancer New Moon on July 20th, 2020. It contains personal reflections and underlies my general astrology outlooks at this time. If you are uninterested in my more subjective perspectives Part 2 will cover more directly the New moon itself.

The area in which I reside in south central Pennsylvania feels hostile to me. The politic largely espoused in this area is not mine own.

Since childhood I have been accustomed to not being representative of popular opinion in my environment(s). As this writing is an interlaced personal reflection and astrology interpretive piece I note that you, as the reader, are also likely accustomed to representing less generally accepted thought.

Recently I have recognized a contingent of local population that is so enraged by alternative viewpoint and/or lifestyle that they appear willing to do anything they deem necessary to staunch whatever/whomever they believe to be offensive.

To be clear, I am speaking of individuals/groups that are so threatened by certain viewpoints and/or lifestyles that they have of recent been actively participating in efforts to “bring to heel” any that they deem a threat.

Tactics commonly employed by the contingent I speak of often include:

(1) the utilization of militant posturing (person is openly armed with assault rifles, knives etc, attired in militant clothing/gear, displaying controversial emblems/flags/symbology etc),

(2) verbal and/or written threats directly stating, or implying, the intent to cause harm to another through the use of physical violence and/or weapons

(3) a usage of language in a form intended to be offensive to others(ie racial slurs, general vulgarity and profanity).

A similar and/or same contingent of individuals and/or groups of which I write may also be apparent to you in your locality also. (more…)
