The New Moon @ 15°41′ Virgo occurs on September 8th, 2010 at 6:31 am EST/10:31 am UT.

After the recent months of scattered activity, courtesy of the Summer’s Cardinal Crosses and Squares, we have had many of our basic routines rocked and may have become lax in relation daily health care regimens, keeping up daily communications with others and attending to other basic everyday chores such as housekeeping. Schedules were altered and now it is time to put the breaks on and reassess where our attention now needs to be placed to bring back some stability to our everyday lives.  The Virgo New Moon comes just in the knick of time to help us clean up our acts and get back on the horse in area’s that are crucial to our physical well-being.

This New Moon is highly focused with no major aspects forming. Mercury, the ruler of this lunation, is in residence in Virgo though retrograde and implies we will be looking back over the past months and scanning for anything may have went willy-nilly in relation to Virgo initiatives as we were scrambling to keep up with all of the energies of this past summer. The New Moon @ 17°25′  Leo occurs on August 9th, 2010 at 11:09 pm EST and on August 10th at 3:09 am UT.

Leo as the fifth sign of the zodiac is the space of all things personally pleasurable. By the time we enter Leo we have brought forth a new individual form(aries), added the stability necessary to sustain this form in the physical world(taurus), explored our capacity for communication and learning(gemini) and found security within our home/tribe/family(cancer).

After attending our most basic survival needs we come to Leo with the desire to enrich our existence by adding experiences that satisfy our needs for self-demonstration and pure pleasure. Here we strive through creative forms to shine as an individual in some manner.

Leo is a heart-centered energy and is therefore related to our children(literal and figurative), our romantic liaisons and all things that open our hearts and bring us great satisfaction; these are the situations and people that ignite our essence and fuel our desires to be the most honorable and loving that we can possibly be.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse occurs on July 11th, 2010 @ 3:41 pm EST @ 19°24′ Cancer.

This is a total solar eclipse and for those that are interested in the specifics regarding path of totality, duration etc. detailed information can be found at NASA-Total Solar Eclipse of 2010 July.

Solar eclipses are supercharged New Moons and bring about completions to a way of Being that allows for new ways to come forth. Endings can occur in a myriad of forms dependent on your individual relationship to the Eclipse as reflected within your personal chart.

In my previous post on the recent Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn I shared my personal view of Eclipses. Following is a brief excerpt from that post:

My view of eclipses is that they function as course correctors. Where eclipses occur in our chart is where that which is no longer productive for our growth and viability may come to an abrupt conclusion or be suddenly altered to allow for a new course to occur. Though eclipses often do usher in extremes of experience there is no need to fear them if you embrace that what is leaving your life or being altered in some form was not in your best interest any longer and/or has simply run it’s course.

This current lunation-eclipse is following a pattern that has been prevalent for all of this year where the New Moon occurs after the Full Moon in the same sign. This is a reversal of the typical pattern of Full and New Moons and has brought to the forefront the culminations associated with Full Moons before we are able to set new intentions and sow seeds at the following New Moon. Robert Wilkinson at Aquarius Papers explains this phenomena in more depth in his articles related to the Moons and Eclipses. If you have yet to visit Aquarius Papers, Robert offers a wealth of information that appeals to a wide range of astrology students and practitioners.

Our next New Moon occurs on June 12th, 2010 @ 21°24′ Gemini at 7:15 am EST.

Gemini, the Sign of the Twins, is the representation of Duality. Duality serves the purpose of offering contrast to allow for the “seeing of that which cannot be seen” and the “knowing of that which has been unknowable”.

While the goal of our journey through all space/time is to eventually return to Source; to do so we must first understand the true nature of ourselves and in doing so come to a comprehension of the true nature of the Source from which we have come forth from.

As we rest within the Whole of God so does the whole of God rest within us. Through Duality we find the avenue for God to be experiencing of God in all manners and forms.

Light and Dark, Mother and Father, Spirit and Matter, Left-Brain and Right Brain, Anima and Unanimity; all dualistic representations and often symbolized in experience or thought as a paradox. While Gemini is not the space where we come to transcend these dualities or solve the paradox, Gemini as the 3rd sign of the Zodiac is the early developmental space where we are confronted with these dualities. Within these contrasting forms we have the formula from which to begin to bring a definition of some form to whom and what we are.

Gemini is the place where we gather conflicting information and experiences that we later carry to the realms of Uranus (the Higher Mind) and begin our quest to solve the paradox by the marriage and eventual dissolution of the seeming opposites.

While a lesser evolved function of  Gemini is the experiencing of human existence in terms of “either-or” a more evolved function of Gemini is the experiencing of human existence as “both-all”. Look to where Gemini presents in your natal chart as well as your natal third house and the location of your natal Mercury to evaluate where you experience dualistic thoughts and situations to get a better assessment of how your Gemini function is operating.

The next New Moon occurs at 23°9′ Taurus on May 13th, 2010 at 9:04 pm EST.

As the second sign in the zodiac, and ruled by Venus, Taurus is where we find ourselves concerned with self-gratification, with Self-Love. Taurus is the place where we take great pleasure in thrusting our hands into the moist soils of our earthy existence to sow seeds that will bring much pleasure to our 5 basic senses. Here, we find ourselves longing for experiences of a more hedonistic nature.

Taurus evokes images of the Garden of Eden, for it is here that we are renewed within the simplicity of earthly delights and express a primitive innocence in undertaking that which we find pleasing, without obsessive regard to the ‘rightness or wrongness’ of our desires. Here, that which is nurturing to the senses and to the physical self, just IS.

Later as we develop our Venus attributes in the sign of Libra, we come to be concerned with a further developed and balanced expression of Venus and we apply the “WE” principle, seeking to offer unto an other our ‘fruits of self’ while desiring an other to in turn offer unto us their ‘fruits of self’.

Many find great discomfort in giving recognition to their hedonistic elements and deny themselves the right to self-gratification/love. Yet our path of evolution through the Zodiac has made no error in taking us into the realms of Venus in Taurus before Libra. When one wishes to enter into relationship through the portal of Libra, one must first have something to offer to another, and that is where our experience of Taurus begins our quest to achieve self-fulfillment that allows us to enter into unions that have the best opportunity for long-term survival due to our entering said unions with minimal likelihood of forming a co-dependency due to a sense of lack within one’s self. The New Moon in Aries @ 24°27′ occurs on April 14th, 2010 at 8:29 am EST.

We have had over 3 weeks pass since the Vernal Equinox delivered some phenomenal energies thanks to the jump start assistance of Mars. Now we find that which began during the Equinox and then was brought to light for adjustment after the last Full Moon in Libra/Aries is now being focused through a yod formation to Saturn in Virgo for further expansion and grounding.

Since the Equinox, there has been a heightened sense of the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ overlapping. Many forms have gotten off to a rapid start while others forms that have outlived their usefulness continue to come to completion. This has been quite an intense time for many and there has been some confusion as to what is really leaving completely and what is being transformed into a new expression and shall continue forward with us albeit in a renewed form.

For those that work with manifestation through conscious intention this is a very important week.

We have the New Moon in Pisces on 3/15/10 which is the “New Moon before Birth”, as it is the last New Moon before the Sun’s ingress of Aries/Spring Equinox, therefore lends special significance especially in a year of so many shifts in energies.

The Vernal/Spring Equinox occurs with the Sun’s ingress of Aries on 3/20/10 and with the tremendous Cardinal Energies this year I feel the intentions set upon Equinox shall set the stage in a huge way for what we have forthcoming with the Cardinal T-Squares and Crosses.

Due to each subsequent event building upon the last I am sharing a few quick insights for those, that while accustomed to working with energy and conscious intention, are now finding themselves frustrated and feeling as if they have lost their manifestation mo-jo.

The energies we are now within are significantly different than what we were accustomed to in the past.

There have been numerous large shifts and this will continue to occur with a greater magnitude and strengthen for some time.

Maybe what I have to share will joggle something for you. 🙂

Our next New Moon occurs on March 15th, 2010 at 5:01 pm EST at 25°10′ Pisces.

A New Moon is an opportunity to begin something anew and/or to redirect your course in regards to any insights you have received since the illumination of the last Full Moon.

The recent Full Moon in Virgo offered us insights into how we well we were functioning in regards to being able to be of service to others while maintaining our own personal well-being.

We’ve had the opportunity to identify anything weakening our personal foundations and to adjust anything we found to be contributing to our lack of strength desired so that as we enter a new cycle(Spring Equinox) we are free of any past limitations that in some capacity diminished our ability to be of efficient service to ourselves and others.

For many this has meant a recent parting of ways of previous associations with anything or anyone in which our joint relationship was in some manner preventing us from stepping into our optimal well-being.

Our next New Moon occurs on February 13th, 2010 @ 25°18′ Aquarius, a degree that had been visited by Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter triad frequently over the last 10 months.

Since May of 2009 we have been uncovering our wounds of both a personal and collective nature.

Many have come to a conscious understanding that though the peoples of this planet may appear to be different in their suffering due to how it is manifest on the surface we are in fact effected by the same ills and wounds at the root.

Our last Full Moon in Leo encouraged us to have a deeper look at the way we lead others by example, and to adjust our Leo qualities if necessary, to be the best we can be for others and ourselves when called to a role of leadership in any form.

In Aquarius, we are given the opportunity to pour forth our refined and possibly redefined ‘royal’ Leo traits and also that which we have cultivated as our unique creative expression, offering our gifts unto the collective for the well-being of all.

We are treated to our first annular Solar Eclipse of 2010 on January 15th with the New Moon coming exact just a few minutes later at 2:11am EST @ 25°1′ Capricorn.

Due to the duration of this Eclipse, events put into motion by this eclipse will continue to develop and be a part of our lives for the next 3+ years, with new developments being triggered each time this 25th degree of Capricorn is transited by the Moon or an inner planet.

Where a Solar Eclipse occurs in our chart is where we are afforded an opportunity for new beginnings within the area’s governed by the house in which the Eclipse occurs.

To locate where this eclipse is occurring for you, look to the house which has Capricorn on the cusp, if you do not have a copy of your natal chart, generate one for free at Astro.com

*****************************************

As I looked at the chart of this eclipse this morning, and was musing over an appropriate title for this piece, I was hearing Motley Crue’s “Kick Start My Heart” playing quite insistently through my mind. 🙂

Upon a closer look at the chart for this Solar Eclipse event I was quite pleased to see that this event does indeed carry some fabulous Heart energies within it. I thanked my guidance with an “OH YES..absolutely perfect!”..and am now just downright excited to get this show on the road!
