The New Moon @ 15°41′ Virgo occurs on September 8th, 2010 at 6:31 am EST/10:31 am UT.
After the recent months of scattered activity, courtesy of the Summer’s Cardinal Crosses and Squares, we have had many of our basic routines rocked and may have become lax in relation daily health care regimens, keeping up daily communications with others and attending to other basic everyday chores such as housekeeping. Schedules were altered and now it is time to put the breaks on and reassess where our attention now needs to be placed to bring back some stability to our everyday lives. The Virgo New Moon comes just in the knick of time to help us clean up our acts and get back on the horse in area’s that are crucial to our physical well-being.
This New Moon is highly focused with no major aspects forming. Mercury, the ruler of this lunation, is in residence in Virgo though retrograde and implies we will be looking back over the past months and scanning for anything may have went willy-nilly in relation to Virgo initiatives as we were scrambling to keep up with all of the energies of this past summer.
New intentions set for resetting basic routines will be strongly supported. Special consideration should be placed in area’s of Virgo influence such as getting back on track with diet and exercise, re-establishing communications with others and evaluating one’s chosen route of providing service to others and everyone’s favorite, household maintenance. 🙂
Looking ahead 2 weeks to our next Full Moon in Aries we see a busy time just up ahead as that particular Moon shall ignite the energies of the Summer’s T-squares so keeping your intentions and goals simple and practical for this Virgo lunation will serve to get the best results. Also, with Mercury in retrograde this will be more a ‘look, see and do’ and less a ‘think, plan and do later’ energy that is available. Simple terms: when you see that the pile of newspapers in the corner of the room has grown into outrageous proportions while you were conquering the world this summer…clean it up right there and then and don’t save it for later. 😉
I would think many reading this are already in the zone of this New Moon and have been working with it the past few days so this is a short post from me for I too have a lot of catching up and resetting to do of my own. I look forward to socializing with all of you more after getting some of my basic but-oh-so-important for living routines back in order! {{not all Virgo Sun’s are always as 100% tidy as some would believe}}
Blessings~Kachina
Kachina, you made my day, made me laugh a real belly laugh! A picture says a thousand words! Printed it full page edition. Also loved the video! So inspiring and just plain delightful! Thank you sooooo much! Saturn, my chart ruler is in the 6th and I have Jupiter in Virgo. Still laughing…….gotta go straighten up now, there’s laundry to do, organizing and…….

Hmm…Saturn 6th and Jupiter in Virgo…can I live with you?? 🙂
I have a moon-venus square floating about in my various charts the past 2 years and I am NOT the housekeeper I once was. Have no idea if it is coming back yet if it doesn’t I either need to make more $’s so I can afford help or…uhm, move in with you?? LOL

Hey Cj..good to see you! 🙂
Read your post yesterday, Virgo and Housecleaning Blues, and it is ON. Seriously.
While my Moon was blitzed by the Big Guys my home was falling to pieces, literally. Over the weekend I walked around cleaning up and was amazed how many things escaped my notice for so long. Needing a serious overhaul..or a move. Shooting for the move…. 😉

Hey Kachina!
I’d love for you to think that I’m a “housekeeper from Heaven” (long wink, here), but I gotta be honest here. Saturn IS my ruler and he IS in my 6th house, but he’s more than a bit crotchety and cranky with me as he’s under stress. Ignoring the “Old Man” made him even crankier. Soooo, as the saying goes, “If you can’t fight em, join em”. I cozied up to the “Old Man” and now we are bosom buddies. He’s got his strong arm around me now and the lessons that he teaches me bring inner peace and satisfaction. My housekeeping is a work in progress that will improve.
The picture that you presented, Kachina, went straight to my heart. My North Node in Cancer is in the 6th as well. And, oh I almost forgot to mention her apron. I LOVE aprons. Nevermind that they are not stylish or in vogue. It matters not to me. I collect, sew and wear aprons everyday, even at work.
This New Moon in Virgo, I hope has had a positive effect on everyone, to ground them, energize and motivate them, as it has me. Virgo is also about health, nutrition, and taking great care of the body. May we all either initiate or continue healthy practices and habits for our precious bodies.
Much Love, Light, Cleanliness (LOL), and Health to you,
Jan

Cancer placements like your NN and my rising adore nostalgia..I love everything and anything retro and antique-ish.
As for health…Saturn in Virgo stirred up a lot of physical maladies for people..now I wait to see when they start connecting it to their diets..like processed sugars(SaturnLibra). It’s tough to change food habits but I think for many it is becoming critical that they do so.
As for being roomies…from my side all would be divine and wow..having someone to cook and clean..a first! Let me tell you..in my book you most certainly WOULD be the “housekeeper from Heaven”…yet right now I would be toting along my disheveled Moon and likely then your home would start to disintegrate too. Then we’d both be in a crunch. Better to keep it to myself for now I suppose. 😉
Blessings and Love~xo

Kachina,
PS: Of course, you can move in with me. I would fix you the best recipes in my collection and all your fav food you could imagine! I would do the cleaning or Sir Saturn would be ticked off at me and we cannot have that!

Thank you. ❤
My birthday(9/5) weekend was beautifully peaceful and I was very pleased for it set a very different and most welcomed tone for the year as opposed to my last birthday.
Saturn should now be by your Sun now I believe so I would think you too are beginning to breath easier.
Love, K

Past exact opposition (just) but I’m giving it another week before breathing at all !!! Phew, it has been very harsh. xx

lol..you know I am so excited that Saturn is off my Moon and Uranus that I completely overlooked that it is opposing my Chiron exact at the moment and on it’s way to conjunct my Jupiter-Mercury soon. …{{breathing, breathing, breathing…in spite of!!}}
Come back soon and breath with me as soon as you feel it is safe! xxx

Ah that is interesting, your Chiron conj my Sun. I have only just this last year taken any notice of Chiron. Now he seems to be growing in importance in my vision. Tr Mars is running sq to him at the moment – staying clear of sharp knives – ha! (literal and metaphorical ). I would be very interested to know how your opposition plays out, good luck with that and the house cleaning.
Diet wise, I have started to take apple cider vinegar and honey twice daily for the many benefits it promises – already feeling cleaner on the inside, now it’s just the house! (just!!!)
