As everyone knows Venus in Leo is the sexiest Venus on the block.{{smirks}}

HA! Before anyone get’s their panties in a twist over that one please know I am a Leo Venus and my statement was admittedly biased and my Venus is standing proudly behind it even if she is being egotistical and inciting possible drama.

I love my Leo Venus. My chart has a lot of serious..serious..serious and even Venus  does not entirely escape the serious nature of my chart with a square to Saturn. And yet, she also has lovely aspects with Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Chiron and Midheaven. I’m approaching my Venus Return and am feeling wonderfully divine and am allowing my Venus to have her time in the Sun.{{happy VR to me!}} 🙂

And A Happy VR to all of my Leo Venus Kin too! {{Moowahhhh}}

The Sun is preparing to join the current T-square of Saturn, Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter and on June 15th until June 30th we will be experiencing our next Grand Cross of the 2010 season.

Mercury is moving quickly now and will join the Grand Cross a few days after it forms. During the Grand Cross formation, the Sun and Mercury will have their Superior Conjunction, an important aspect in relation to the previous Mercury retrograde period.

This 2 week period also contains other significant events with the Summer Solstice arriving on June 21st and the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn on June 26th.

These coming weeks are sizzling with energy and many will be feeling pressured to make adjustments and new choices in many different life area’s. Late mutable and early cardinal placements are feeling this most intensely; as has been true for some time now.

This post is a closer examination of the Grand Cross itself and notes important dates of this period as well as when the Moon will jazz it up even more. The Solstice, upcoming Capricorn Eclipse and Superior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury will be further expanded upon in later posts over the next week.

Our next New Moon occurs on June 12th, 2010 @ 21°24′ Gemini at 7:15 am EST.

Gemini, the Sign of the Twins, is the representation of Duality. Duality serves the purpose of offering contrast to allow for the “seeing of that which cannot be seen” and the “knowing of that which has been unknowable”.

While the goal of our journey through all space/time is to eventually return to Source; to do so we must first understand the true nature of ourselves and in doing so come to a comprehension of the true nature of the Source from which we have come forth from.

As we rest within the Whole of God so does the whole of God rest within us. Through Duality we find the avenue for God to be experiencing of God in all manners and forms.

Light and Dark, Mother and Father, Spirit and Matter, Left-Brain and Right Brain, Anima and Unanimity; all dualistic representations and often symbolized in experience or thought as a paradox. While Gemini is not the space where we come to transcend these dualities or solve the paradox, Gemini as the 3rd sign of the Zodiac is the early developmental space where we are confronted with these dualities. Within these contrasting forms we have the formula from which to begin to bring a definition of some form to whom and what we are.

Gemini is the place where we gather conflicting information and experiences that we later carry to the realms of Uranus (the Higher Mind) and begin our quest to solve the paradox by the marriage and eventual dissolution of the seeming opposites.

While a lesser evolved function of  Gemini is the experiencing of human existence in terms of “either-or” a more evolved function of Gemini is the experiencing of human existence as “both-all”. Look to where Gemini presents in your natal chart as well as your natal third house and the location of your natal Mercury to evaluate where you experience dualistic thoughts and situations to get a better assessment of how your Gemini function is operating.

We’re right on top of a phenomenal period and what I am seeing in these charts is exhilarating! I am jazzed and wishing to share my excitement, so here is how I am viewing this 2 day period of energies, as Jupiter carries us more fully into Aries and we embark on a whole new groove!

**A special thanks to Matt, a visitor at AstroDispatch, for sharing insights concerning the Moon’s involvement with Uranus-Jupiter this weekend in a comment upon my last astro post! 🙂

Saturn goes direct at 27°50′ Virgo on May 30th, 2010 and shall reenter Libra on July 22nd, 2010 thus bringing to a close Saturn/Virgo lessons and training.

Saturn will not return to Virgo again until 2036.

Of note is Saturn’s degree of direct station @ 27°5 Virgo for this is now a sensitized degree and as the inner planets move over this degree (especially the Sun and Mars) new developments in our Virgo related area’s will be triggered. For those that have applied themselves to their Virgo lessons (health, routines, communications etc) this will bring rewards for the efforts we have applied.

Dates relevant to the crossing by the inner planets of this degree are: 7-26-10  Mars > 8-5-10 Venus > 9-21-10 Sun > 10-2-10 Mercury

Uranus enters Aries today and will be joined by Jupiter on June 7th heralding the much anticipated Jupiter-Uranus conjunction at Aries Point. On August 15th, Uranus shall slide back into Pisces in retrograde motion and retrograde Jupiter follows suit a few weeks later on September 10th. Uranus will reenter Aries on  March 12th, 2011 and remain in the Sign of the Ram until 2018.  When Uranus reenters next March, Jupiter will already have traveled the first 10° of Aries due to having a shorter retrograde duration than Uranus so therefore we will be receiving the max impact of these two planets conjoined during the upcoming weeks.

I am going to offer something a little different today in this post then what I normally do and just bounce right through with zero format or proofing and lay it out as I work my way through sifting info I have been receiving and sorting it into the ‘this-that-and-the other’ as it comes to me. I like having someone to ‘bounce with’ at times yet today it is just me, myself and I so I am going to do it right here on site as if I am bouncing with you(?). 🙂  If you don’t mind a little intuitive analysis thrown in, a bit of story telling and a lengthier post then please continue on and I hope you find something of value!

The next Full Moon occurs on the Sagittarius-Gemini axis at 6°33′  on May 27th, 2010 at 7:07 pm EST.

For those of esoteric inclination, this lunation is also termed the Christ Moon and is the last High Moon of Spring, corresponding to the time of the dispensation of knowledge by The World Teacher that shall carry us forth on our path the remainder of the astrological year.

The correspondence of this lunation to the Christ Moon and it’s occurrence just a few short hours before the Uranus Aries Ingress implies this lunation shall be of significant importance in what develops for us over the next nine months; though with the astral influences now present there are truly no events of insignificance at this point! 🙂

My 12th house Moon at 29° Gemini conjunct my Cancer ascendant has always been a challenge for me. Not a fluffy moon, it receives squares from my angular South Node, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter and Mercury at the bottom of my chart and at the top has squares to my North Node and Chiron. Throw in an opposition to Mars and voila!, challenged Moon. {{smiles and reminds self to love my moon anyway}}

Transiting Pluto spent many years opposing my Moon and during that time the dissolution of female relationships was absolute, in regards to friends and family, less my daughters. My relationship with my daughters strengthened and evolved into a deep friendship and something far more beautiful and fulfilling than I could have imagined I would have with them at their current ages of 22 and 18. Friendship, true and real friendship is what we have now and that means everything to me for if there is no friendship in any form of a relationship than there is no relationship, period. I honestly believe that. I do not feel that blood relationships hold us together, at least it has not been true for me, friendship does. Yet, the relationship with my daughters while transformed was done so under duress.

In 2005 I had my Jupiter return, transiting Pluto conjuncted my natal Mars triggering my natal Mars-Pluto square and Saturn finished his transit through my 1st house and ended with a conjunction to my Leo Venus triggering my natal Venus-Saturn square. Divorce, followed by a financial collapse, was the result for me. By the end of 2006, my material net worth was packable, literally luggage tote-able{{laughs}}, attire and a few keepsakes plus my faithful little dog. That’s it. Everything else was gone. Home, auto’s, furnishings, bank accounts…gone in the blink of an eye it seemed. I have come to accept that this was the result of my dragging my tail on bringing to closure many situations when I should have instead of attempting to be the “good girl” and my previously warped perception of whom I thought I needed to be to be ‘spiritual’ undoubtedly contributed to my sluggishness in making willing changes too.

Sometimes I start to fall back on the old crutch of,  “Hey, I was presented with a whole plate of Shit when I entered this life” and then I check it quickly, for it is no excuse for my not attending to what was in my power to attend to and crutches like that one just catapult you right back into victim-hood. That is never a productive place to be and I very sincerely believe that these times are we are in will no longer allow for that state of consciousness. We now must take full accountability for our actions and non-actions, that is the only way through this pass, the best that I can see. No more pointing fingers and hiding behind shadows, at least not for me it would seem, for those shadows have been outed for me non-stop and I have to own them, there just is no other option even though I cannot logically explain why that is to someone that doesn’t already get it, you know?

The next New Moon occurs at 23°9′ Taurus on May 13th, 2010 at 9:04 pm EST.

As the second sign in the zodiac, and ruled by Venus, Taurus is where we find ourselves concerned with self-gratification, with Self-Love. Taurus is the place where we take great pleasure in thrusting our hands into the moist soils of our earthy existence to sow seeds that will bring much pleasure to our 5 basic senses. Here, we find ourselves longing for experiences of a more hedonistic nature.

Taurus evokes images of the Garden of Eden, for it is here that we are renewed within the simplicity of earthly delights and express a primitive innocence in undertaking that which we find pleasing, without obsessive regard to the ‘rightness or wrongness’ of our desires. Here, that which is nurturing to the senses and to the physical self, just IS.

Later as we develop our Venus attributes in the sign of Libra, we come to be concerned with a further developed and balanced expression of Venus and we apply the “WE” principle, seeking to offer unto an other our ‘fruits of self’ while desiring an other to in turn offer unto us their ‘fruits of self’.

Many find great discomfort in giving recognition to their hedonistic elements and deny themselves the right to self-gratification/love. Yet our path of evolution through the Zodiac has made no error in taking us into the realms of Venus in Taurus before Libra. When one wishes to enter into relationship through the portal of Libra, one must first have something to offer to another, and that is where our experience of Taurus begins our quest to achieve self-fulfillment that allows us to enter into unions that have the best opportunity for long-term survival due to our entering said unions with minimal likelihood of forming a co-dependency due to a sense of lack within one’s self.
